어바웃 타임 대본공부 - Scene 45 ~ 52

오늘도 쉐도잉 영어공부를 시작해보겠습니다!

제가 쉐도잉으로 하는 영어공부 순서는 다음과 같습니다!

 

① 영상을 보면서 대본을 정리한다.

② 대본을 토대로 모르는 표현, 궁금한 표현에 밑줄을 친다.

③ 한영자막으로 다시 보면서 밑줄 친 표현들이 무슨 뜻인지, 어떻게 사용되는지 밑에 정리한다.

④ 자막 없이 다시 보면서 이해되는지 확인한다.

⑤ 블로그에 밑줄 친 단어와 표현들 정리한다.

- 단어를 정리할때는 명사는 한국어로 최대한 나머지는 사전에서 찾아 영어로!

⑥ 영어 자막으로 다시 보면서 쉐도잉한다.

- 입에 붙을 때까지 하기, 적어도 10번씩!

Scene 45 (1:15:04) 
Aunty May : I’m so sorry to disturb you, but I wonder if I could have your autograph.
Harry : No. No.
I'm at a wedding, for God's sake.
I'm here to celebrate true love not scribble my illegible signature on stupid bits of paper that you can flog on eBay so that at the next wedding you can wear a less hideous hat.

Scene 46 (1:15:32) 
Uncle D : You next, Kittle Kattle.
Kit Kat : I don't know, Uncle D.
Boys aren't very nice.
Uncle D : Aren’t they, darling?
Kit Kat : Not in my experience.
They're always taking liberties, not giving much back in return.
Man : Yeah? I like the way you say yummy.

Scene 47 (1:16:07) 
Tim : Do you wish we'd picked another less wet day?
Mary : No. Not for the world.

And so it begins. Lots and lots of types of days.

Scene 48 (1:16:32) 
Mary : Posy.

- a small bunch of cut flowers:
Tim : Posy she is.
The most beautiful girl in the world.
Mary : You want your daddy.
Yes, I know.
Yeah.
Tim : No one can ever prepare you for what happens when you have a child.
When you see the baby in your arms and you know that it's your job now.
No one can prepare you for the love and the fear.

Scene 49 (1:17:08) 
Mum : She’s lovely.
You were such an ugly baby.
More chimpanzee than child.
I remember the first time I saw you, I thanked God we were in driving distance of London Zoo.

Uncle D : Come on, hand over the little bugger, let's see if she bounces.

Tim : I will show you.
Kit Kat : She definitely will bounce.
Uncle D : Oh. Look.
Kit Kat : She can do anything.
Uncle D : Look. Hello.
Sweetheart.
Tim :  No one can prepare you for the love people you love can feel for them.
And nothing can prepare you for the indifference of friends who don't have babies.

Mary : Do you wanna go to Uncle Jay?

Tim : And it's a shock how quickly you have to move to a new place you completely can't afford.
Tim : Look what we found.
Mary : Look who it is!

Tim : Suddenly, time travel seems almost unnecessary, because every detail of life is so delightful.

Scene 50 (1:18:18) 
Uncle D : What’s his name?
Rory : Horace, I think.
Uncle D : Of course it is.
Rory : Only one important thing for a godfather, I'm told,  never bring a present smaller than the child.
Harry : Oh. Shut up, you smug bastard.
Joanna : Don’t worry, I didn’t bring anything at all.
She'll never know.
Hasn't got a brain yet.
Mum : I didn't expect to see you here, Harry.
Children's party’s not exactly your style.
Harry : No, Mary, I was tricked. I was told there would be free booze.

I hate kids, as you know.
Dad : Where’s Kit Kat, by the way?
Mary : I don't know, she said she'd be here around 3:00.
And you know we got purple cupcakes for her especially.
Here she is!
Tim : Speak of the devil, that will be her.

- something you say when the person you were talking about appears unexpectedly: (호랑이도 제 말하면 온다더니)
Mary : We’ll wait till Aunty Kit Kat gets here.
Tim : Hey. Jimmy.
Where's my sister?
Jimmy Kincade : Thought she was here.
Tim : No, she hasn't arrived.
Jimmy Kincade : That's not good.
Tim : What does that mean?
Jimmy Kincade : Um... We had an argument this morning.
Over nothing, but she'd been drinking, so...
And then she ran out to get the car to come here and I told her to meet me here so… 
Tim : There’s a song by Baz Luhrmann called Sunscreen.
He says worrying about the future is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum.

- successful or achieving the results that you want:
The real troubles in your life will always be things that never crossed your worried mind.

Scene 51 (1:20:00) 
Tim : What happened?
Kit Kat : We had a fight. And, maybe I wasn’t completely sober.

- not drunk or affected by alcohol:
Jimmy Kincade : How is she?
Tim : Not good.
When did she leave you?
From where?
I want it exact.
Exact time.
Exact address.
Tim : Here we are. Sorry, sorry.
Come on.
God.
Kit Kat : Hi.
Tim : There she is.
Kit Kat : Does a small baby live here?
Mary : Yes, and she's so excited.
She's downstairs.
Kit Kat : Happy birthday, Posy.
Tim : I’m sorry. I had to pick up Kit Kat.
Mary : I thought she was gonna drive herself.
Tim : Turns out she couldn't.
Mary : She okay?
Tim : Later.

Scene 52 (1:20:58) 
Tim : I’m worried about Kit Kat.
Mary : Yeah. I know.
She was drinking wine while we were drinking tea.
And Jimmy wasn't nice to her.
And she spurned the purple cupcakes.

Tim : We have to do something to fix it.
Mary : Yeah. but, you know, if it's gonna be fixed, I think she probably has to do it herself.
Tim : Maybe. Maybe not.
